I've had a number of requests to know what Celerity's room will look like. Our design process has been typical of many decisions that we make:

Rex: Hey, honey, how do you want to decorate Celerity's Room?
Dodi: Well, I was thinking of [COMPLETELY CRAZY DESIGN IDEA HERE]
Rex: That's Crazy, we're not doing that, how about [INSANE DESIGN IDEA HERE]
Dodi: That's insane, we're not doing that. How about [MODERATELY CRAZY DESIGN IDEA]
Rex: Humm, that might work, but it's kinda crazy. Maybe we could [SLIGHTLY LESS CRAZY DESIGN IDEA]
Dodi: Oh, oh, what if we [BARELY CRAZY DESIGN IDEA]
Rex: Humm, still sounds crazy, but I don't have anything better, let's go to the store

Sometime later, at Lowes. . .

Dodi: I'm going to choose the paint color, it has to [ART], while still [ART], but it can't [ART]
Rex: <Blank Stare>
Dodi: [ART] [ART] [ARTY] [ART].
Rex: <Begins to drool>
Dodi: [ART]?
Rex: I'll be over here, looking at this [MANLY TOOL THING]

15 Minutes Later . . .

Rex: Dodi! You have to see the totally awesome wallpaper I found!
Dodi: Just a moment, I have to [ART] . . .
Rex: Preeeety Wallpaper! Pretty!
Dodi: Yes. It is pretty. And the colors [ART]
Rex: Pretty?
Dodi: Pretty.

Anyway, that's how things usually go. Between her art ideas and my lucky finds, we usually manage to slap together something that looks halfway decent. What we eventually came up with is a two tone room, sky blue on the top and white on the bottom, with a wallpaper border between the two colors. When I saw the wallpaper border I knew we had to have it. It rocks.

The carpet color is still the old color, but the new one is just about the same. It's called "Earth", so basically just think "Brown". The cold color in the border complements it well. I think I mentioned that we also got blinds for the entire house. This is a picture that is the same as the one that will be in Celerity's room. (We're missing the one for Celerity's room, but that's another story)

Dodi is planning on doing a Mural on one wall, but she has not designed it yet. The plan is for children playing in a park, flying kites, playing ball, etc. In general, we're thinking "Classic Childrens Toys", like late 19th century. You know, classic toys that you still find today, like blocks, balls, stuffed animals, rocking horse, and dolls. Yeah, she'll probably end up playing XBOX, but we like the idea of timeless toys for decoration.

With luck, I can bug Dodi to get a mock up of the mural that I can post.
