I caught this great little story about inoculating your kids to advertising on The Consumerist.
I've always said that, growing up without a TV, I lack the immunity to it. I can't concentrate when a TV is on in the room, I pretty much HAVE to watch it. I don't imagine that I'll be able to raise my daughter without a TV, so it makes sense to teach her early about the hazards. Critical thinking is a skill anyone can learn.
